Well the wife and I finally took our new to us fish & ski out for the first time yesterday to test it out...It was windy but i found a cove with a little shelter and I managed to hook this 2# LM on a drop shot that I let the wife reel in...She was a real trooper, check out the splint on her middle finger...She is waiting on word whether or not she is having surgery or not...So the boat actually caught a fish on it's first trip out and it was caught by the both of us, boat is properly christened...I managed 1 more LM and 3 stripers...Anyways, here are a couple pics:

I went out yesterday trying to chase schooling stripers at lake close to the house...They were not busting like they had been lately...I dropped a spoon down and hooked a beast of a redear sunfish...The thing was 13" long and had a girth of 11"...I weighed it on my 50lb Rapala digital scale so I'm sure it weighed it on the light side at 1.1 pounds...I took the measurements and used the formula suggested for bluegill and it put it around 1.7 pounds which I believe is more accurate...I also caught a couple LM, nothing big...Here are the pics,by the way this is my PB bluegill/redear:

NICE! At least someone is getting out lately...........I haven't been in my boat for over 2 months now, and winter is rapidly approaching. I hope to get out one last time next week - before I winterize her.........

firstfish.jpgTook my boat out for the first time Sat. 11/10/12 just to check it out. Figured since I was out might as well cast a few times. Caught this (respectable) 14.5 inch spot. Can't wait to get back out.

Well I hit the lake the other day and graphed a bunch of shad...The water was 84 feet deep and the shad were stacked from 20ft down to the bottom...I dropped a 1/4 ounce Hopkins spoon down and started @ the 84ft mark...I then slowly began working the spoon back up stopping at different intervals trying to locate the bass...At about the 60 foot range I jerked the rod up and my spoon got absolutely hammered...I originally thought I had my PB LM on but after a minute or so I soon realized I was probably hooked into a catfish...Fought the fish for about 5 minutes or so and then got it into the boat...Turned out it was a flathead...Here is the pic, sorry I was by myself so this is the only one I got:

First picture worthy fish out of the Coral in 2013.

They were choking a jerkbait yesterday.

I've started taking pictures of my fish with my girls when they're along. It makes the fish look bigger.

Those grins say it all, good stuff man, good stuff.
3/4 of the Earth's surface is water and 1/4 is land. Clearly god wants me to fish, not mow the lawn.
