    Donating tackle.

I am cleaning out a bunch of tackle i just don't use and am wanting to donate it. Lots of plastics, crankbaits, etc. Anyone out there got a good cause and an address or two?

I will take it and I will be willing to help out with shipping.
I run a High School Fishing Trail in North Georgia. We average about 50 Boats per tournament so I have plenty of kids that could use it.
We are a 503C so you could write it off.

I am also running a fishing team in Kentucky at Spencer County High School. This will be our inaugural season and the first time the majority of these kids have fished competitively at all. We would greatly appreciate anything we can get. I have cleaned out all of my unused gear and let them take what they would use. I have a few lots for sale on the board and the proceeds from those are also going towards the team. I am hoping to make some grab bags of baits that I can hand out at each of our tournaments and practices. I have a great group of young people who love fishing and most of them have never cast into anything larger than a farm pond. I am excited to get them on the lake and watch them learn and grow as fishermen.

Mountain man is associated with a great group for young kid. I'm sure they could use some of the tackle.

Hey you guys that are getting a youth team together. This is kind of off subject but do you know how to remove hooks from body parts with the string method? I'd recommend you do plus get signed releases for permission to do it from parents.

I always need crankbaits, and I think I'm a good cause. Sure I can buy my own and what not, but I'll fish them, maybe post a picture or two, and probably give them to my nephews at some point.

Or a high school team, or a youth center is a good idea.

Thanks to all, I think I've got what I need. Still pulling plastics and such, ought to be able to ship stuff out this weekend, or first part of next week.

Yep, I donated about 6 rods and reels and a bunch of tackle about 4 years ago.
