Have any of you made this ride? I've been giving serious though in doing this.

I am sure that it is a memorable experience. Just WAY to much crowd for me.
I have ponder the thought for some years also. Being retired from the Army myself, I have always thought it would be a great experience. I'm getting older now, really don't like large crowds & I'm not into the night life if you know what I mean, therefore the large crowds I try to avoid them when possible. I don't go to Daytona bike week any more for the same reason. I do go to Myrtle Beach twice a year, not as large of crowds there. If you decide to go, have fun & be safe!!

I can imagine it's a great experience. But the most people I like to ride with is 5-6. And then I better know them really well.

Not going this year because Virginia has canceled reciprocity for my concealed carry license .
I sent you a private message on your RFTW question
Johnny welcome to BBC, thank you for the message
Registered and motel reservations made. I'll join in Junction City KS.
Several of my club riding friends have done the ride from CA to the Wall in Washington. Great experience....depending on the weather.
Re Carrying: I think you can keep your pistol in a saddlebag. I always have a fabric pistol case in my right lockable saddlebag for those times when you can not carry or when you have too many layers of clothing on to access your weapon quickly. Living in Illinois we have had to settle with pepper spray and other tools until two years ago!

It's getting close, really looking forward to this ride.
The day has come, the ride has already started, last Wednesday, I meeting the group in Junction City, Kansas. Going to make it a 10 day trip before getting home. I'm never been on the rode with a motorcycle for that much time.
Sure sounds like a good time! I am in Fayetteville (nam), NC..

Saw a huge silver'ish coach with a few "Run for the Wall" stickers on it today traveling through Fayetteville, NC. Also had a truck towed behind it.. Was it someone from our BBC forum?
