Fisheye

I am getting ready to make the switch to Garmin, hence all my questions. ;-)

I cant find much on the different views available...but I am intrigued by the fisheye view...Here is a scenario, is this what this view is for or would work for...

we troll some for whitebass, crappie and or walleyes and seem to find them on the drops of shallow flats falling into deeper water...with this view..would you be able to be sure that you are "hugging" the dropoff? where does it get its "map" from? is it from the preloaded maps, or in real time from the transducer? Is it accurate? I guess im envisioning a split screen with that and either 2d or di and it being pretty deadly when long line trolling..
