I have a 2016 Verado 250 Pro on a Z 20. I've had it a year and 70 is the best I have ever seen with the prop that came on it and a p2p of 3 1/2.

Not to bring up and old thread, but those speeds seem slow. I take it the nitros are not built for speed.

How fast do you want to go? My Z21 goes 73mph with two poles. From what I have read the Phoenix 21PHX does about the same. If indeed you are looking at Phoenix of similar size I wouldn't expect much more.

2016 Z21, 250 pro XS 25p Fury 4, 10ft poles, 12"atlas w/ hole shot plate, 2-10 in helix, 2- 12in helix, 360, ultrex, 4 - 31 batteries, extra prop, full trny gear, wells empty, 55 gal fuel, by myself saw 69 - 69.5 gps @ 5800-5850rpms in clean water this w/e. No chine walk at all. When I fill the wells and add a person, I am seeing 66-67

I need to have my prop worked due some minor damage, but the highest I have seen was 71.5 5850 rpm with the new prop out the box and clean water.

My brother has a PHX 920 xp 8 ft blades 10 in atlas, 4 batteries, etc it will run 73-75 but it is a handful. It likes to start walking at 69.

Highest I have seen is 72.5. Normally see over 70 by myself.

I am not trolling dude! I own a bluewave right now. I am eyeballing the nitro due to price. The bird is awesome, but expensive. You wanna run off a potential nitro owner, be my guest.

I'm very happy with my z20. Night and day a better boat than the z8. It's not the fastest boat out there but is a great riding/fishing boat and is very easy to drive. I don't think you'll feel short changed in any of he new Z series.

Well, I may go with a z21, non pro package, adding 2 helix 9s, 2 poles and an ultrex. Just scared of the note. With trade in would still owe 4000 on mine, but have 5000 to put down. Sucks, but the plus side is I get to keep my current white power pole, hds 9 gen 3 and my ipilot 80 which will all be up for sale soon.

    I've got a Z20 with a 250 Verado Pro running a 25 Fury, 2- 8' Blades and will run 71-72 with 2 people. Best I've seen is 74 gps.

Fished tourney out of a z21 with a Pro Xs 250 today. 2 guys, good tackle load, 2 8 foot blades, full live wells and mostly full tanks. He ran it up to 72 at one point and had a little more in it. It started to walk a little and he got out of it. They're pretty impressive boats in my eyes.
