Can Quickare and Quickleen be mixed?

Don, I know you recommend using Quickare and Quickleen both. Is there any problem with mixing the two products, say in an old Stabil bottle, to make measurement more accurate and then storing like that?

I use a big empty jug of stabill and dump a 12oz bottle of
each into it.. Mix it up and you are good to go. I like how it's easy to measure out an ounce with the stabill jug

I thought they had different ratios? Mixing 50/50 will leave you short on one. One is 1oz per 10 gallons and the other is 1oz per 5 gallons.

Correct. Quickare is 10gals:1oz. Quikstor and Quikleen are 5gals:1oz
You can still mix but need to follow ratios.

This is true. However, Don recommends 1 oz of each per 5 gal of gas.

    They can be safely mixed.

Add equal volumes of each to your container- mix well, and use 2oz of the mixture per 5 gallons of fuel. Our RECOMMENDED ratio is:

    1oz Quickare +
    1oz Quickleen
    --------------------
    Per 5 Gallons of Fuel.

This DOES vary from the bottle labeling, but has been proven to provide superior protection (and helps to keep injectors/direct injectors CLEANER).

There is also an option to add Premium Plus Oil on Optimax Models. This can be done by mixing up "shooters" for 10 gallons. This helps to lubricate fuel pumps and direct injectors (helping to retain injector performance, and potentially extend their life). For this purpose, your "shooter" mixture would be:

    2oz Quickare +
    2oz Quickleen +
    8oz Premium Plus
    ----------------------------
    Per 10 gallons of fuel.

No. DFI does not or may not mix well with gasoline.

    +100

While DFI oil will actually MIX with gasoline, it tends to SEPARATE from the fuel over time.

Mercury or Quicksilver Premium PLUS is the best (and tested) choice to use for THIS PURPOSE.

I found this old thread doing some research on Quickare and Quickleen mix. Would this mix for the Optimax work on a 2000 Mercury 125 HP ELPTO 2 + 2 outboard?
    Thanks in advance.
