Right, the 186 still has an older style top cap with molded in consoles.
The top cap will have to be redesigned to allow for removable consoles.

Got it----I was totally confused about this 186. I thought it was a NEWLY designed boat, like the re-introduced- redesigned 195 and the ALL NEW 797.
Then I seen this: http://chargerboats.com/186.htm
and realized its the same as what you have been describing above and also realized this is the same 186 that has been available for a the last few years now. Its really NOT a NEW model for 2012.
The reason I worded it like that was to get the attention of guys that have the older 186 narrow body design. Most guys have never seen this model.I wish they would of changed the model number to 286 or something, alot of guys still think its the old 186,but it is basically a 396 just shorter and rated for a 175......
But the price is whats really the eye catcher,32,000 with a 175pro xs is a heck of a deal in todays world of 55,000 dollar bass boats...
Sorry for the confusion
That is a great price. And it looks like they shortened the back deck more than the front, when you look at the comparisons to the 396. Great job.

Does that squared off deck change the smoothness of the ride?
You would never notice it driving, but you will notice it when fishing....its alot more stable
for sure.
Heres some more pics, you can order any color combo you want ...this is pic is only for show.

Gee Matt, where did you get those pictures from?? Just stirring the pot buddy! I saw that one on Craigs list the other day, very nice boat. Seems a little high for the age, but so is everything else.
I would still like to see the deck dimensions for the new 186

Real interested in talking to a dealer in Texas about one of these 186's. Who should I call? I'm in North Texas.
Crappie fish fry. It don't taste any better.
You have a im
Looking through bassin mag and ranger has the new 177 for 30,000 with a 115 ....That makes the 186 a he k of a deal at 30 witha 150 and 2k more for a 175....Thats a foot more boat and more hp for less money.
What a shame...great boat, price, and the size I am looking for. If they came single console you would have sold me. Back to shopping.
Take a look at the 195.
296 comes in single and dual console.19'3"
Quick question, I see people are referring to the "old style" 186, and was wondering when the "new" style was introduced? I am looking at buying an 06 and I can't seem to tell a difference from the pics from the "new" style and the one I am looking at. Is that because they are the same style or are the differences I am missing?
