    Fastest Basscat ever

    Whats the fastest a Basscat has ever ran?

    hull motor load etc?
    getting bored and thinking about breaking new grounds, what's the fastest hull a panted 11??

    I would guess that a newer Eyra w/ a 300 would be the ticket,totally illegal in most bass competitions though

    I'd agree it would be an Eyra. Probably with a 300. I do think that there has been an instance or two, where an Eyra has run a bit over 90. That would be pretty much empty though.

    I remember many yrs ago Rick had a boat at the owners Tournament with a XB on it dropping ducks, rumor was 102. Probably 15+ yrs ago nobody could follow him.

    They built a few kevlar cougars\jaguars back in the day, 1 of which was for a friend of mine. I rode in and drove it and know from first hand experience that 92 was nothing for this boat and it had more umph to go!!! That boat is in the LOZ area last time I heard. It did have an XB on it.

    I've always thought it would be fun to get a Pantera Classic with a 200 Yamaha and let Wayne Worthy in Nixa, Mo do his thing. I think it might be so fast, that the water flow from the hull to the prop could cause some issues. A custom sport master gearcase might help.

    I remember that tourney and that boat. At that time, there was nothing even close to that kind of mph. that Rick was reaching. It was kinda demoralizing watching him run by and I had a PII w/a 150......!

    My boat is 10mph faster with Rick driving it plus hitting the rev limiter till it shuts down, I was sitting next to him when he did it. He told me my boat was broke in now, that was many yrs ago.

    It was most definitely the top of the food chain.....the Jaguar. Pantera hp max was 200. I watched Rick pull beside me in my PII and wave......then pulled away like I was pedestrian walking along the interstate.
