Maybe you have not paid any attention to this thread since post #868 about MEGA SI that the NEW Helix 10 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G2N models have that the current one does not have.

1200 kHz Side Imaging with CHIRP.

It is discussed in a few topics in the Normal threads:

Yeah, you're buying at the wrong place...

Universal Mania, BBG or one of the other board sponsors will give you a better deal.

"The amazing quality" is something that JetDOTcom uses with one of their vendors ( K Sparkle?)... no different units.

The G2N units are not out yet FWIW.

I understand the Helix 7 G2 is getting Autochart Live, but does that include the new bottom hardness and vegetation or is that only going to be in the G2N?

It is not shown as a feature on the Humminbird website with the G2 Helix 7 or G2 Helix 5 units that have Auto Chart Live.

They are $2,499.99. Most online retailers show them not in stock, but like the last gen, the bigger retailers get theirs first. Online Cabela's shows them in stock and when I added to my cart and proceeded to checkout, it still showed as available, though I did not complete the order since I have the gen 1. And, you get the mail in rebate for the free remote control. Probably some other big retailers that have them in stock, too. I didn't dig deep.

We've received 2 shipments of the Helix 12's so far.. in both cases, all units received were already pre paid by customers and shipped the day they came in....Our ETA for more 12's (like many others) is 2/10.

There you go, Mikesled1. Get on Brian's preorder list, get it soon (ETA of 12/10 is tomorrow) and support a BBC sponsor in the process. Wins all the way around!

Yes, with all 3 being cabled to to the Ethernet hub you can control the link with both units

This might be a stupid question, but why is everyone saying hook the Ipilot link to the ethernet hub? Is mine the only one that does not have to be hooked to an ethernet hub for the helix 10 to run it?

BASS PRO has most of the Helix Mega. We just bought two 12.1 Helix Mega from them. You might want to buy the Transducer Shield & Saver also. The transducer are $350 each.

If you only have 2 Ethernet devices..(Helix10 and Ipilot Link) you don't need the 5 port switch.....You can connect directly to your unit.

If you had 2 Helix 10's and I-pilot link, you would need the Ethernet switch.

    First question ever:
Is there huge difference in power drain on the battery between the 7 9 10 Chirp Mega SI/GPS G2N? Going in a Champion 184 with a Otimax 175. Battery is a group 31. Out of room under the back deck for any more batteries. I also don't do much running during the day to send a lot of charge into the starting battery during the day. Would like to get the largest screen I can which any on of the 3 would be a huge update to what I now have. thanks
