Are helix power cables interchangeable with 1199 and 999 units?
i have 1199 cable run to battery and wondered if I could use it for helix.

Ok so I just networked a helix 7 g2n sonar gps at the bow. A helix 10 gen1 SI and a helix 10 g2n sonar gps at the console. They are networked together with the 5 port hub. I have a 2d transducer and the gen1 si transducer joined with the Y cable. I have sonar on all the units but no di or si on any of them. I don't even have the di screen. I have the si screen but not working properly. Not sure what to turn on to get di and si. Thanks.

You should have SI on the SI unit .... The others won't have SI unless you select the SI unit imaging transducer in the network source menu.

Try resetting defaults on the SI unit.

I have si on all the helix units. Just fuzzy. But I have no di on any of the units. Says the screens are visible but I have no di screen

I have helix 12 mega si unit on the way, getting transducer shield mount for jackplate. Can anyone tell me what model transducer comes with the unit for transom mount

Do you know I hole pattern is same on the mount for the mega transducer as it was on the SI tranducer. The holes are already drilled in the boat why not use them.

The HDSI transducer and MEGA SI transducer have the same hole pattern. The XNT mount that the Compact SI, DI, and 2D transducers have is different.

I recently bought a Helix 9 and I owned a Ram Mount with a 1" ball. My partner questioned the weight of the unit and the small ball. One of the MAJOR outlets told me that's what they sell but when I called Humminbird they recommended a Ram with a 2 1/2" ball or one of the hefty swing out mounts such as RAM-109HU. .that one looks good and stout and is rated to carry 10 lbs while the Helic 9 weighs in at 4.5 lbs.

This Helix mega si unit is a lot clearer than the 1199 HD. Can you customize a view for chart, DI, SI? It is not option on view tab.

No you cannot customize multi-views on a Helix. Can do it with the SOLIX.

True that you can not build custom views like the SOLIX. But there are quite a few combinations programmed so almost every combo is covered (though a few I would like are not). But from those pre-programmed views, you can customize the viewable percentage that is displayed. For example, if you choose the sonar/Map combo view, you can set the sonar window to take up 40% of the screen (then the map will be 60%) or other percentages. Not full customization from the sense that you program what windows you show on one view, but at least the pre-programmed views are a little customizable. Helps a bit.

I just ordered the new Helix 12 mega. I currently have an 1199 at the console with a 998 at the bow. The 998 transducer is mounted on the terrova. I am putting the new Helix 12 at the console and moving the 1199 to the bow. Do I also need a new adapter cable for the Helix 12 to Ethernet link? I know the 1199 currently has one but didn't know if they were the same.
Also I currently have a transducer saver on the 998/terrova. Will this also fit the 1199 transducer since I am moving that one to the bow/terrova??

AS EC QDE Ethernet Adapter is the same for both models 1199 & 998 as is the HDSI XDCR for each SI model.

The Mega SI XDCR is a whole different critter though.

Is it possible to run Helix 12 G2N Si head unit with my old HDSI transducers? I am only interested in 455 Khz SI, I understand, that I won't get CHIRP SI/DI and MEGA with such a set-up! I have two boats, and would like to use one head unit on two boats, that's the reason I am asking.
