You must change your XDCR selection to the HDSI setting under the sonar tab.
Just have to remember to switch back when on MSI XDCR.

New to site and need help.

Just got got a hummingbird helix 9 DI and I'm trying to installl it with my min Kota terrnova 80# Iploit link. Got everything wired up but when I start the finder up and once it connects to the trolling motor it turns off the fish finder. The green bar that say connected I pilot flashs then it shuts down. Idk what to do, please help

I have a specific GEN2 issue: Helix 12 GEN2 (latest software) couldn't take heading from Lowrance Point-1 Antenna (NMEA 2000 device) through AS ETH NMEA2K (altough it says it takes - the donut when idling says it doesn't). There was no such an issue with GEN1! What should I try?
PS At the same time this unit can take GPS and heading from AS GPS HS compas of the bow unit (Helix GEN1), but it doesn't work for me because the bow unit is off most of the time, plus it is 18 feet away from the transducer.

No, Helix units cannot share mapping of any kind.

1. Sensitivity set too high for the depth/bottom hardness
2. Cross-talk from another unit

Thanks Wayne. Only have one unit running . The sensitivity/ bottom hardness the same or different settings?

There is no bottom hardness setting. May need to adjust sensitivity down on harder bottoms and shallow water.

Warning upgrading your Model: HELIX 10 SONAR GPS from software version 1.150 to 1.460 will remove your units DI capability when connected to a 360, I called HB and they confirmed this was the case and told me it was in the upgrade notes, I looked and couldn't find that statement. Never heard of an upgrade that takes feature/functionality away. Shame on you HB....

That's the thing, connected to a 360, it gets SI and DI, I did alot of research and bought the HELIX 10 SONAR GPS specifically because it did this.The 360 activates those views.

If your first post had clarified that you were talking about DI from 360 you wouldn't have got the response from ezfishn that you did.

Maybe start a separate thread on the subject to try to get more attention from Humminbird. If enough people express the desire to have that functionality back, maybe it will be done.

Howdy gang. I am installing a new Helix 10 chirp gps g2n (2d sonar only) and am wondering if I will lose any "chirp" capabilities if I use the US2 transducer in my new ultrex. I can use the 'Bird t-ducer if it will provide better results.
