Start by calling HB C/S and they will give you some options to try to isolate & get rid of.

It might be an easy fix, and it might be difficult - no 2 installations are the same EVER.

There's lots of things you can try - but they need to be tested OTW one thing at a time....

I have my Humminbird Helix 10 G2N MEGA SI ordered and it will be here early April hopefully. I am likely going to be using a dual transducer setup for the Helix 10 Mega. The MEGA ducer will be mounted on the bottom of the transom step and I am still debating whether I should install a second shoot thru hull 2D transducer for high speed.

    1. What are your thoughts on the above?

    2. Does anyone have experience with the MEGA mounting bracket? Will it be able to go on the bottom of the transducer step? The mounting screws would be mounted vertically on the bottom of the step. 2 Humminbird reps could not answer this question.

    2. I am trying to figure out what to buy for the bow. If I went with a Helix 9 gen 1 Sonar/GPS what imaging would I be able to share if I networked the two units? Would it make more sense to buy a Helix 7 Sonar/GPS G2N. I can get either one of these units for around $550. I would love the bigger screen but am I losing a lot of functionality? Also I have a Terrova with US2 if that helps you make a decision.

No experience with the MSI bracket yet but guys are mounting like you want, and using spacers if needed.

Another hunk of aluminum or stainless can always be fabbed to work.

Most likely you'll need a 2D shoot thru for on plane readings

The gen1 H10SI would share all tech from the H10MSI's XDCR, except Mega.

The gen1 Sonar only can see the 800 & 455 with the latest update, where as the H2G2N can see it all - but only ONE micro SD slot and no shortcut buttons.

    Both have AutoChart Live.

I really like them and 2 card slots is sure food for thought.
I want to map w/ACL and I want a chart card...

I don't use of want US2 for any of my units as they all Image & US2 is 2D only.

I'm ready to get the Helix 10 mega si gps g2n to connect with my ultrex. Is there any problems putting the transducer on the ultrex? Thanks in advance.

The Ultrex has the US2 housing that may interfere with the attachment. If you are going to get the Transducer Shield and Saver mount, contact them to see if a modification is needed.

Can you hook both transducers up with a Y adaptor giving the ability to have a depth reading and SI/DI using both transducers simultaneously? And if so will one interfere with the other in split screen?

Not sure which setup referring to but if you're asking about the y-cable for SI and shoot-thru hull transducer then no. The y-cable creates circuit by which only the 2D shoot-thru hull transducer can only provide the 83/200khz and imaging/temp is provided by the SI transducer. The 83/200khz is blocked from the SI transducer.

I was referring to having two transducers on one trolling motor, such as the US2 built in on the Ulterra and Ultrex and the Mega transducer added externally as in the pictures above. Was wondering if both of them would connect simultaneously through a Y adaptor to a Helix 10/12?

Why would you use the US2 when everything you need (all 4 elements) is already in the MSI XDCR?

I run a HDSI and DI XDCR on my TM, but a MEGA unit can do all of that in ONE.

That's a good point, I thought the depth would be missing but that's not the case right?
That mega transducer strapped to the trolling motor in the picture above will do regular sonar 83-200k also?

ALL Humminbird Side Imaging transducers have 83/200 kHz 2D sonar.

Interested in updating my helix 10 di gen 1 to the 1.4 software.

I did did not do the 1.35 update.

I am most interested in gaining the vegetation scanning capability for AC Live.

If if I do this 1.4 update will it bring my system up to date and include the vegetation scanning capability?

Current software has all previous software versions, you can't miss or bypass any.

1.350 had the bottom hardness and vegetation feature.
