I went ahead and bought the one like in your 2nd link but a lot cheaper.
FlexStep Base Mount Kit - Base Mount Only - Keelguard 80021 - iboats.com DON'T GET THIS as it's only the BASE as described.
Found this two stepper instead. http://dtsinnovations.com/product/d-step-recreation/ My tongue is 3x4.

That step's an option on Skeeter ZX & FX trailers, any dealer should be able to get you ordering info.

I think Nitro has really nailed the step design on their new boats. I'd love to have one but it won't work with my winch stand.

Got mine installed finally I had to find some smaller 3/8" U bolts as the measurements of the stock U bolts are OD measured and they are too tight for the trailer frame. Worked out fine.
Old topic but nmanley, how easy is it to get off the boat with the steps ya installed? Do you have yo
go backwards or just forward like going downstairs? Reason I ask is because of no hold bar. Looking to add this for my father’s aluminum boat.
If you do custom build, you may get some ideas from this design. The lower step bolts to the jack stand and the upper one bolts under the winch. The bar is actually a steel closet rod that I bolted to the trailer tongue and secured to the upper step with a muffler clamp.
I wanted a strap that had limited extension past the side of the trailer because I have limited backing up skills.
I would not consider anything that did not have a grab bar.

Built my own. Have not put a hand pole on yet but will probably want one in a few years. Full bottom deck, I can step down from the boat most anywhere and have a good foothold. Placed a step under the winch with a brace to step up onto the deck.
