    My 2016 RT188 has arrived!

Excited...the boat is even better in person than I expected. Haven't been in a boat much lately either and I can't believe how quiet these 4S engines are. There seem to be some paint drips/runs here and there but not sure if this is common or not. I assume these are hand painted so there will be some variance.

Anyhow, I've got a lot to figure out with the HDS units I plan to install and setting up the NEMA2000 network. I have a HDS-9 Gen3 planned for the console (mount) and an HDS-12 for up front. Still thinking about doing a single 10' Talon which will require the "sandwich" bracket to be installed.

Really wish Ranger would have installed the Ulterra as a factory option. Would have loved that. Did a quick lake test with the dealer and everything ran great. Going to try and get it out this weekend on Buchanan where my family has a lake house. Should be less crowded than most other lakes as well

    Thanks!

Definitely looking forward to taking it out and breaking it in. Dealer said several people asked about buying it on the spot when they saw it (was only there for 1 day). Looks really sharp. Still interesting how the Ranger decals match 100% with the Mercury decals, down to the colors, stripes and mesh.

Again, my first personal boat but I think I have most things covered. If there is one thing you don't leave home without, I'd love to hear what that is though, just in case :)

Very nice congrads that is a clean rig. With the money you save over buying a Z-boat you can get the Ranger shirt to match your new ride.

Hah, I picked up the short sleeve (dark gray) version of that a few months back when I ordered the boat along with a nice hat. Been randomly wearing them around just pretending I owned a Ranger, until yesterday :)

Nice ride , the only thing you should watch that I can think of is when installing the hds units they seem to draw a lot from your battery and lot of guys had to change there battery out to a group 31 size not sure what the boat came with .

Appreciate the note. I've seen a few comments about this but not too many. Definitely something to keep an eye on however. I'll take a look at the battery tomorrow and post what it came with from the factory.

I do love that there is a breaker switch to cut off everything except the engine from the cranking battery just in case you are low on power, and another breaker to shut off the TM entirely so there is no phantom draw.
