Got the recessed tray installed, had to take out one of the seat posts. I will either paint or lineX the tray black just already had this one in the shop. Seats look good in the boat and I have a Basscat carpeted step up box I will use. Still need to wet sand the consoles and cockpit area, then wash the compound off everything and get it ready for carpet.

Loved my Astro and love how far forward the cockpit was. Good for holeshot. Not the fastest but was as stable as anything out there and pretty quick also.

Well its coming along, still have tons to do to get it on the water but I want it right when done. I took the dash off and found some nice glass behind the plastic....looks like I make some pieces to hold the gauges. I'm kicking around pulling out all the wiring and installing a touch pad from BCBs that will fit nicely into the old switch plate. The pros out weigh the cons but will add more time to the overall project. I have pulled the motor and will yank out the old steering and add hydraulic steering with a 10" hydraulic jack plate. Still need to clean the floor up and I'll probably put down truck bed liner on the cockpit area like I have done in the past and carpet on the decks. Anyway here are some pics:

I told you that lake gets ruff with a little wind! My Z21 wouldn't handle it either!

No Chris, Bullet liner off of I-40 did it after I spent 2 days sanding off the liquid nail someone used to put the carpet down. I like there stuff cause of the UV inhibitors they use (stays shinny)

Ok, haven't posted much but haven't do much either. Getting all the parts gathered up to finish....still have a ton to do. I have decided that I will not be going back with carpet but instead I will haul it to Texas and have Safefloor installed. I have a 101 Kota, 10" Atlas Hydo Jackplate, 2 7" dragonfly units, Hydro steering, 8' power pole, and a list of little things a mile long. I'll get there eventually....here is a pic as it sits today.

Nice, this safe floor. Is it similar to the bullet material just more give/spongy?

Chris is the black rubber you find on football fields and track surface. Its mixed with a harder then put into a boat, it will give and be nice on the feet. http://www.safe-floor.com
