Great River Road (Wisconsin) -- Champion on a posted info sign!

Hello,

I was out in SW Wisconsin around Prairie Du Chein, WI.. Well I headed north on the great river road. I forgot my phone and my wife forgot her camera at the camp site.

That aside, we stopped at a recreation area and was fishing from shore. I did not have the Champion with me. I went over to read the rules and information. Guess what I saw on one of the signs?! You guess it! It was a Champion Bass Boat!

Has anyone else ever seen any signs posted on the Mississippi river on the WI side with a Champion boat on it?

dont know about that area but the missouri dc has a sign with a champion on it

As much as I fish the river I have never noticed. How old does the sign look, or what yr champ is in the pic?

It just remember thesign was south of Desoto, WI in an area that was very swampy.

I am not exactly sure how old the sign is.. It was not in terrible shape..

I am pretty sure that it was an Upper Mississippi National Wildlife and Fish Sign.

The sign is at Blackhawk State Park just north of De Sota. I am heading over their on Wednesday to fish a couple of days. If I remember I will take a picture. I camped their last year for four days and noticed it then but like you said I did not have a camera with me. I beleive it is right by the boat landing if I remember right.

That is the right area... You might be right! Maybe I was north of Desoto when I stopped at that landing.

Champs used to be very popular in that area of WI back in the day as there was a dealer just outside of LaCrosse
