    Testament to the Mustang seat

A couple of years ago I had my factory seat restuffed. It's waaay better than stock but I'd still get a pain in the butt after 100 mi or so.

On another forum I bought a used Mustang seat, "Wide Touring One-Piece Studded Seat with Driver Backrest Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic". WHAT A DIFFERENCE MAKER. Down in St. Charles County MO I had a funeral to make it to on Saturday. Instead of taking the Jeep I rode and made a longer more scenic trip of it.

The long way from my house to Missouri and return was about 800 pain free miles. I took backroads, byways and even a ferry on the trip. All of it was perfectly enjoyable.

Stock seats suck. I am about to go with a russell day long seat for my victory as soon as i get rid of my leg pain caused by a bulging disk.

had one on my Suzuki, definitely a nice seat. The stock hammock on my Ultra is nice - need a little work done to narrow it for the height challenged like me

I am in need a good seat to replace my stock HD seat on the trike.. My L1-5 are fused along with a left hip socket repair.. The HD seat is ok but not for long hauls.. Can you recommend a seat for my 2015 HD Tri-glider?

Mustang Seats rock. The two changes on every new bike are windshield & a Mustang Seat. But burn will kill any thought of riding long distances.

    Try the Harley hammock seat.

I had a Mustang on my '87 Harley FXR. It was a great seat. Fast forward a few years and bought another Mustang for my '03 Electra Glide. Even after having Mustang refoam it twice it was painful. My wife thought there were two nails coming through her seat it hurt so bad.

But I'm giving them another try (cost free)...got a wide touring model off of a trade-in bike that we won't be selling (too many repairs needed). Swapped it for an older stock Road Glide seat. We'll see how this one works out.

I have the same seat on my Sabre. An uncomfortable seat can make for miserable riding.
