Which Tail to Use on Scrounger...???

My partner have a running argument on which tail to use on a 3/8 oz scrounger head....He insists on using a fluke type tail ....while I on the other hand use a boot tail...!!...and we have seen tails used from toads to twin or single ripple tail grubs.......Lemme know what you prefer to use....!!!.....thanks, Buz

Use what you have confidence in. I catch fish using a fluke.

Found this in a search, so I'm bringing it back from the dead. What else besides a fluke do you use?

I use a Bass Assassin, I think the non forked tail is better. Also have used a Fat Impact with the boot cut off.

I have a shad colored Fluke that got stored with a red shad Fluke that bleed red on to it. I looks just like an injured fish. Put it on the scrounger head and the bass can't resist it. I've started sticking other baits in with the red shad just to see what I get.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

I had never even heard of a scrounger until I fished with Mike Carter at Guntersville yesterday.

I'm anxious to give them a try on my home lake.

Seems to me you could fish a whole lot of things on them.

When the bite is really tough, try a finesse worm on the scrounger. I like the baby bass color doing this.. its a bite getter for sure

Jenko has a new bait out that is similar to the Jerky J but I like the plastic a lot more. I have been using that a bit recently and like the action. Traditionally I have used fluke style baits more than anything else on a scrounger.
