"long" range side scanning. Lowrance 12 touch screenshots

There was some talk in another post about limiting the range of your sidescan to get better pictures. I thought I would go out and see what I could find with my 12 touch set to 120 to 140 feet and got these:

    LSS2 transducer connected to unit.

House foundation in the submerged town of Birmingham, KY under Kentucky Lake:

Road bed with in the back of a bay (note culvert):

Interesting ditch or creek channel(?) near a road bed:

That house foundation is around 100 feet wide, which is why is such a good screen shot.

I have been looking for old photo;s of Birmingham. Not much available. An old 30's topo shows a large building on the south side of town. I wonder if it is one of the five churches listed in old accounts of the city.

EDIT: zooming in on the old topo showed the large building on the south side of Birmingham to be a school. I need to revisit the location to see where the structure in the shot is located.

Great shots man. Looks to be quite a few fish on that roadbed.

He knows, he was making fun of the short SI capabilities of Lowrance.

...shorter range, maybe, but you can count the pebbles....well, almost.
