    trailer backup lights

Those that have put backup lights on their trailers, did you buy the spot or flood lights?

Thanks for the reply Team Stratos. After doing a little research it looks like the flood lights is what I need.

These are awesome. I have them on my trailer and my friend has them on his. Zero trouble and they are inexpensive. For this price, you can mount a set of floods and spots if you want. LOL.

Cxthree, those are the ones I was looking at but since they have both spot and flood I wasn't sure which one I needed. Think I will go with the flood.

In my opinion, the flood is more helpful. It throws light quite far, but the spread helps me see more of what I need to see.

I have similar to CxThree's but they're 2200 lumens. Between them and the LEDs in my bumper it lights up the whole marina!! If you don't all ready have backup lights it's a pain running wires to the back but well worth it!

th41ZNWND6.jpg Buy a pair of these, just pop out the light and seal up the wire connector to bulb with silicone to make water proof and install... they work, last a long time, since glass wont fade or leak. and less likely to get stolen while on lake and even Pilot truck stops sell them as well as TSC, auto part stores etc

Got my lights yesterday. Lights are mounted and all wired up. Trailer never had backup lights before but wasn't that hard to run the new wire. Took awhile to get the plug wired right.

Did you tap into the solenoid surge brake blue wire or directly in the plug? I'm doing this right now and didn't really want to tap into the solenoid wire.

Don't have brakes on my trailer so I wired directly into the plug.

Here's a couple pictures. One from about 30 feet behind the trailer and one from the side.
