What's the best location to install a 12 volt power outlet on a 721 that has a merc monitor installed below the switch panel. I'm thinking somewhere below the tie off cleat on the drivers right side.
What's the best location to install a 12 volt power outlet on a 721 that has a merc monitor installed below the switch panel. I'm thinking somewhere below the tie off cleat on the drivers right side.
Should be one under the shifter.

Hahaha I did the same thing. Looked in my boat for a place to plug in my GoPro and thought wow..... no 12v outlet..... they thought of everything in this boat and it doesn't have a 12v oulet. Then I called Jeff and he told me where it was and I thought huh..... I'm an idiot!
Same here only i found mine playing with my kill switch
There's been quite a few ask about it. Even though it's kinda hard to find I like where they put it because it gets the cord out of the way.

I'd suggest caution in "what" you utilize it for......I melted the inside of mine last year with the spot light plugged in on a long run at night. I ended up building me a heavy duty cord that attaches to the battery. I can rig it in a minute....handles high power draws with no problem...and I'm NOT jeopardizing any of my wiring. I don't use the factory installed 12V receptacle now.
where can I get one of these?...thanks in advance!!
How would you change it out? does it just disconnect and screw out? and then screw that one in and connect?
