I have to agree. Especially since it looks like Phoenix may be putting together an owners tournament next year. I don't fish tournaments so I am most interested in a gathering of only Phoenix owners. I do want to say all the effort is greatly appreciated. Maybe this is just the kind of push Phoenix has neeeds to get something going.

SAL and berger, are you saying that if it is not sponsored by Phoenix you are out? Or if it is open to anyone you are out? It was my impression from the get go that this was going to be a group of Phoenix owners getting together for a jackpot tournament and cold beverages. There is no way Phoenix is going to sponsor a tournament that they dont have complete control over.

It's only going to be for phoenix owners we just call it a derby it's still on for sure.

Then that works for us!

When will we be getting info on the lodging? Has it been decided where everyone is staying? When should we book our rooms? We are planning to arrive the Wednesday before and leave on Sunday.

If there is only Birds allowed then we are back in, and yes its for the Fun with other Bird Owners. Just didn't want to make a 10 plus hour drive for a Open Tournament. Waiting on Details

Fishtale lodge is a great place to stay. Tell them shane had you guys call. Perfect place for boats. All kind of hook up's Even ran rent a house theire

Whats people's plans? Anyone coming down early? I'm going to give it until Monday to make sure no changes and then I'm going to put my time off in at at work.

Dates are OCT. 2ND and the 3rd. Entry fee is 50.00 and 100 payback. Lodging is at fish tale lodge and Paris landing state Park. Will get more details soon. We are not going to advertise this tourney just invite people who own a phoenix boats.
