    ecu upgrade on 250 sho

i am considering sending my ecu off tomo and having it upgraded to a 300. it is on a skeeter fx21 and am wondering if anyone has done this and what results i can expect. i am turning a 25ti prop at 6100 rpms and running 71 with a full load. recently bought a 27ti vented and worked by croxton. should this work with the uograde? Thanks

I just had my engine dyno'd after the Simon ecu flash. It makes 354 hp at the crank at 7000 rpm's after the flash. It'll pull your 25 to redline and more than likely the 27 you just purchased.

im leaving the rev limit at factory so i dont void the warranty. what do you mean flat spot? i am turning the 27ti at 5900 running 71.5 now, i think the rev limit is 62500 so hopefully it works! if not what would you suggest?

Your SHO will bump 6400 after the flash as I believe there's a 200 rpm overrun.
If it'll pull your 27 to 6400, that'll add about 5 to 6 more mph to your top speed.

You are going to be fine with the 27 you should turn it right at 6200 rpms. Your boat will run right at 80mph in the summer and a touch above when it gets cold. My dad has his ECU flashed. He has a Fx 20 and is running a little over 80 with a 27 fxp.

I have three guys local to me I have ran with and ran in there boats . motor goes flat in the rpm range they run great till it hits the hump as they call it. did you run yours yet to 7000 with the same prop as before. all the guys local dropped pitch to get better numbers . low 80 with same wheel 89 90 with less pitch .

What rpm are you calling flat? If they've over propped the engine then there is only so much an engine can do with what you're forcing upon it. Freeing the engine up so it'll pull through until the rev limiter or almost to it is preferable. Please tell me what boat is running 89/90 with a fishing load?

My engine is in transit to my place as it was just completed this past Friday (yesterday).

This info is crap. I went from running a 26 pitch TXP with the pvs holes plugged to a 28 that been pitched to a 29 turning 6200 rpms. I went from running 76mph before the flash to 90.9 after.

checkmate with sho250 went 82 to 84.6 29 and 30 pitch with Ecu mod went 91.6 with 27 hydro
with same wheels 29 30 didn't gain much at all 1.4 mph down pitched to 27 went 91.6

    21 superboat 81 to 83 stock 250 28 promax
ecu mod went 88plus with 27 didn't have 10th on speedo to tell exact

there are others also weight is around 2200 with no fuel

the flat spot is in there boats are in the 6 k range once they get over 6500 they come alive again

is it timing is it fuel curve I don't know but that's whats happening

i feel its a stock map from the offshore 300 with a higher limiter if it's different mabe Simon can give more feed back to us.

on the Dyno end is there a drag on motor setting if so that can change dyno read out if it's set low it will put up better numbers ? would like to know more on that any feed back guys?

as far as 354 hp at crank I don't know what I can say is 21 super 300hpdi went 87 to 88 with sho with Ecu went 87 to 88 I here hpdi makes 280 mabe 290 any feedback on this also ?

interesting after running your slip numbers you land under a 7 percent slip what boat are you running ?

thats very good for a fish boat with gear I know txp very well are you running the 3 or 4 blade

average prop slip is 10 on most boats set up well I'm not going after you just trying to pass off two years of testing on boats to help

if my info is crap in your eyes sorry but I have accurate info from alot of testing

all the boats tested on we're 21 foot 2200 plus pound hulls 4 blade props 6700 to 6900 rpm full was 30 to 35 gal exact no gear case mod . hydromotive wheels ran good

just trying to help nothing else

wpc3 what are you running not calling you out but 6.54 on slip is low

tested with four boats and two years most slip numbers on most were 9 to 10.1

The slip numbers aren't accurate because the prop is not a stock 28 TXP 3 blade. It has been worked til I was satisfied with the way it performed. I run a Bullet 21xd. The boat was loaded with all of the gear I fish tournaments with. 2 29 group batteries plus a 24 group starting battery. I was by myself when I ran 90.9 mph. It was mid 30 degree air temps. I have not been able to duplicate those speeds since the temps have warmed up. During the tournament that weekend with me and my partner the boat ran 87.

1.75 at 6200 29 pitch 87 mph lands 10.5 on the slip I like that 28 would be 7.5 or less

when a prop is scanned that's when you know it's pitch

prop company's can say 28 but it could be a 28.5 or 29 need to scan to know
