can somebody tell me what type of butt seat pedestal to get for a 2000 champion 191. is it a snap lock or a spring lock. im about to order one online and want to make sure it is the right one. i cant tell what kind are in it now because the previous owner removed the spring or the snap mechanism.
I am not sure I even understand the difference between the two. I think my 99 was snap lock...and I think my 05 is also....Hopefully someone will know. You might try Carol at C&O Marine. She is really good at this sort of thing....
Both are 1.77" pedestals. Spring-Lock is Springfield Marine and has a hook on the bottom of the pedestal.
Snap-Lock is Swivl-Eze and has a peg that sticks out of the pedestal to lock it in the base.

I have a 2000 191 as well. It's the swivel-eze snap lock.
My 2001 has the Snap-Lock by Swivl-Eze.

thanks for the info. the best price that i have found is at cabelas for $91.00 including shipping. anybody know a better place to shop. already tried e-bay and was unable to find one.
