Flow rite remote drain plug on zx190

Pretty easy install. I've got videos but they wouldn't load. 6' cable works fine for those thinking about retrofitting. The bracket from a ranger jump start switch works great with a few modifications. Hope it helps anyone planning on doing the retrofit. Take care.

Nice work. I put mine up in the side wall next to the 12v plug. Easy install once I got over cutting a hole that big in my boat.
It has saved my bacon at least once when I forgot to put the plug in.
where did you get the Ranger bracket? I had to make my own battery switch bracket.

I thought those were for using in a livewell that did not have valves. I like these now, may be looking into this. Guess I should have actually read the description on their page amd would have already known......yeah I am not the brightest some times

I called them and asked for just the bracket that the jump switch is tied to. The hole is actually a little larger than the cable operator. I keep a piece of aluminum flat bar and just cut a piece that was about an 11/2"long by 1" and drilled holes in it and then slipped it over two posts on the actuator assy and bolted it to the plate so the other side of the switch could be screwed in. I'll take pics of the underneath tomorrow but it's stout and looks pretty good.

I was skeptical at first but have no regrets. It's solid and soo much easier. Highly recommend the product

Had to order another setup for the Ranger and so I figured I’d post the part number for the bracket I used. Ranger part number is 7200468. I’ll probably cut a piece of black vinyl to replace the ranger name plate but there it is.

    Hope it helps. Take care.

it's standard on the 2019 LE's. I'm not sure about the others. The lever is directly below the gear shift and beside the livewell open/close lever.

Not standard on the ZX. I put one in my 2018 ZX250. I put mine in about the same place as the FX. Took about 20 minutes to install.

I like it!! Will be my next little project. I'm tired of having to reach underneath to get to the plug.

I used the 10' and have a lot extra. An 8' may work if you can route straight back under the rear starboard locker.

Would you happen to have a pic of your install? Looking to get this for my 2018 zx225. Seems so logical of an upgrade.

Where you mounted the control knob. I see flow-rite sells the 8' length on there web site and I haven't found it anywhere else. Would the 8 be a better choice? Thanks for the help

I put one in my ZX225 by mounting switch inside the rear compartment . Bought a 2" conduit hanger at Lowe's and mounted it to the metal lip . Only had to drill one hole . Used fish tape from inside compartment to pull cable through drain hole . Took about 20 minutes . Just lift deck lid and turn switch . Be sure to caulk around outside of drain hole to seal it . Think I used 8' model . Got it from Tackle Warehouse .

It is in front of the livewell control. Note how it is aligned - it is at an angle and NOT running parallel to the boat centerline. This allows the cable and mechanism to clear the livewell control. The livewell control is also angled to clear the cup holder behind it. This is close to how they mount it for the FX.

Got it installed. Used the 8' cable. Its a bit of a challenge to get past the gas tank to go under the storage boxes but it's done.

I refused to drill that big hole in my boat. Here is how I mounted mine. It also allowed for the use of a 6’ cable. A couple of bucks for an electrical box and you are good to go.
