A lot of people tried to help you when you were on here before and you just had one stupid agenda that had absolutely nothing to do with outboard motors that you just wouldn't drop in spite of phone conversations with John Laws and myself so............bye bye. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Not only that, but the serial number posted is 1 & 1/2 years out of warranty and while in the warranty period, there were no claims submitted for that motor.

ya'll are tough with those buttons !!!!!
Thanks for your observations. I think that Evinrude had the same attitude at first- "just could not be our motors". Until the rep checked things out himself, and determined that this is not a boat problem. My experience is that they are really dragging their feet- last week the only thing that was accomplished was replacement of a starter that broke. Everyone keeps saying that Evinrude will take care of this- this is a priorilty, but the dealers don't seem to have much motivation to make this a priority.
So this is the last week- then it may just be turned over to the legal vultures, hate to take that step, but this is getting beyond ridiculous.
Here are some pictures of the 150 ETec with holes all the way through the block.

Ya gotta hang out more bud!!!
Here is the latest update for those who have provided input..
Testing with 2 independent fuel tanks showed same results- rapid rpm drop when running at full throttle after a few minutes on BOTH engines. So what do 2 engines have in common if there are independent fuel tanks?
The water itself! Evinrude engineers say that the increase in cooling water at high rpms dropped the cooling water temp to <85deg, which kicked the program into cold start mode which dumped fuel into the cylinders with resulting loss of performance. So the engines have been reprogramed and are seemingly running fine.
Glad to see that the problem has finally been addressed; still have a few issues with Evinrude that I will take up with them, but they do seem to be handling this now.
Best wishes all- would like to hear what has happened to The Lodge's motor
I'm glad to see things are getting worked out for you. Like I said before, you have far more patience than me.
Keep us updated on how well they run after everything is running right. That is an interesting combination you have there.
Sounds to me liked they treated you pretty good, those programming gremlins are hard to find.

Just an update- Here it is June 23 and since the last post we have had one counterrotating and one standard rotating motor blow- catastrophic failure number 6 happened today! All total we have less than 55 hours on our boat and have gone through 7 powerheads. Evinrude rep says last failures were due to bad maps. Have his whole, lengthy message on voice mail. I'm just appalled today- we'll see how evinrude reacts on Monday- but this is going to the next level. There are obviously some serious problems with the 150 engine series.
Just my two cents .
Did the BRP rep. check the quality of the oil inside the tank?
Mako boats ,sometimes had oil feeding in deck.
Have a nice day
