Question Can I raise this motore? (pictures)

I have a setback plate, I have set the motor to its highest position to my knowledge... the problem is that it is still 3'' 3/4 pad to prop, i'd like to get it around 2''1/2...
Does anyone know if it is possible, anyhow , to bring it up a little??

Only way to do it would be to replace the setback plate with a jack plate.

You could stack a 4" jack plate onto the setback plate also.

I had a plate that looked similar to that on an old Ranger once.I was thinking there is a series of holes in that aluminum block in the middle for raising the motor.Been a long time,I could be wrong.

I did some test out on the water today, I noticed that I can not LEVEL trim, can't put it a 90 dedree angle. I put it all the way down and got a pretty decent hole shot, then i'm bringing it up as i'm taking speed but can't level it without loosing performance and grip, is that the key indicator that my motor is too low? ?

yes. You can replace the setback with a jack plate. I like hydro-dynamics Rapid Jack plates or you can add a plate to the existing set back plate. Your best bet would be to remove the setback plate and install a new jack plate.

It's mounted backwards also. Should be the other way around, where you have the motor mounted now should be the part on the transom.

I've installed a bunch of jack plates. The part you have fasten to the transom is suppose to fit with the contour of your motor clamp brackets and the other side gives you a wide base to distribute weight better across the transom.
