Bare wire, shorted socket or bulb yes a bulb didn't believe it but it was. Process of elimination. Get a volt meter and go to work.

DID WORK FINE! Most likely have a wire that has worn through somewhere on your frame and shorting out. That's a pretty good ride from MA to Maine.

Checked for bare wires , did not find any . Tried a new fuse ,brake ,directionals work. Still no marker lights. Fuse did not burn out. Maybe its time for a new harness(with brake wire connections )

I had a similar issue I ended up running a new power wire for the running lights to fix the issue.

Somewhere on the electrical circuit for the bRown wire there is a problem. Could be in a light assembly, could be a bare wire, could be in a connection.

If your harness is in really bad condition this is best but probably more work than you really need to do.

I noticed some “condensation” inside of license plate light . Hoping that is the only problem .

No telling, My 20 year old garage princess harness is okay. The other 20 year old Florida boat is kept out and just covered and its okay. Just depends on if they used good parts. Look it over and check the insulation and see if it brittle if it is replace it if not it should be fine for a while yet.

I'm not afraid of work but replacing the harness means working on every single light assembly and making splices and sealing things correctly. Just wouldn't do it on a whim.

At wits end with this trailer regarding the lights. Brake & directionals work. Marker lights ,...still not working. The fuse is no longer blowing as before.

    Is this a tube trailer?

If so, possibly a scotchlok connection issue inside tube that you can not see.

At 23 years old, I would just pull new harness and be done with it.

    Good Luck

Not a tube trailer ,That is what I am planning to do. But ,they sent me the wrong harness, I ordered a 5 wire ,they sent a 4 wire. That will set me back a couple days, wanted to get it done before the weekend. Going to Maine for a week Sat.

In 05 I bought a new Ranger. Trailer light below outboard kept blowing fuse in truck. Ranger replaced and kept doing it. I unplugged the light.

One other thing is to verify the fuse in the truck is the right value.
