    Yamaha/ Champion Performance Bulletins?

Am in the process of tuning my new 2008 203DCXLE/ Yamaha VZ250TLR combo. In the Yamaha Performance Bulletin (same engine, but on a Champ 210) they mention engine height as - "Mounting Height 4-7/8" Above A/V Plate" - what the heck is a A/V plate???and where are they measuring from & to?

Just curious, am getting close on the set-up on mine - @ 5500 am going 69 mph, GPS. In the bulletin they show the 210 doing 73.1 @ 5925 RPM's, so I guess it's OK to turn this engine close to 6000 by Yammie's specs.

Here's the link to the Yamaha Perf. Bulletin:

Anybody know the answer to where they are measuring this "Mounting Height" ?

I would call Yamaha themselves, I use them at there service center for all my Yamaha questions of engines issues and service questions, and routine maintenance they seem helpful and knowlegable, just have your VIN # handy and you can get number on same web site..I would love to see my 210 hit 73.1, they must have had a good tail wind,,

I think it was starting with the '06 model year, Yamaha raised the WOT RPM range up to 6K. Alot of guys I know were turning the older ones to 6 without any problems. I'd setup her up for 6K and I'll bet you'll be right at 73 if not better.

    Any new up date>>

I hope to be able to get my new 203 on the water with the 250 Pro XS next week. Playing with props and using the Hydro Jack to find the sweet spots. This week I have a new Grand Daughter up in Birmingham, Al that needs Gramps to spoil her and welcome her into the world. Thank you LORD.
any set up info on the 203 LE would be helpful.
    Have fun ! Be safe!!
