Relax, drink lots of beer, get a bad sunburn, and watch out for sharks

Nervous Nellies for dinner one night. I like the duck stir-fry but if you order the meal that comes with a lobster, be sure to ask them to "clean it and remove the tamale".. (sit outside, it's really awesome) Nervous Nellie's Crazy Waterfront Eatery, Fort Myers Beach, FL

Speedy's airboat rides on day. It's about and hour and 1/2 drive but a really good time.. Speedys Airboat Tours Everglades City Florida

Check out the races... Naples-Fort Myers Track and Entertainment Center

Drive up to Captiva Island for the day and go sea shell hunting, have a great lunch, and buy a ton of souvenirs.. Welcome to Captiva Island.com!

There's a lot more but these are on my list of must do's every time I go there.

ever been to an ale house restaurant? watch some basketball, eat some zingers and drink some beer. If you were to go to the one in Gulf coast town center. you would be a stone's throw from Bass Pro shops.

Watch a spring training baseball game

Edison and Fords home tour is pretty cool. Downtown (old) fort myers is neat and historic

Sanibel Island is just over the causeway from Fort Meyers. Tarpon Bay explorers rents kayaks that you can paddle through the mangrove forest ( Commodore Creek) across Tarpon Bay in the Ding Darling Preserve. It's a beautiful 2 hour paddle. Also eat at the Timbers on the island.
