has anyone tried putting a power pole on a pontoon boat?
has anyone tried putting a power pole on a pontoon boat?
no one has tried this?
I was watching a fishing program and they were cat fishing from a pontoon with a power pole installed on it and were really talking it up. Looks like a good idea.

The reason I'm asking is because I am wanting to turn my toon into a duck blind/ fishing. I hear that they work really well holding a bass boat so I was thinking instead of using anchors why not use a power pole. Yes it would slow it down some but I think it would be worth it in the long run. Just don't know how well it will hold something that catches that much wind
Besides it would definitely held staying within range of where your wanting to keep your decoys
Yes, I have seen Power Poles mounted to a pontoon, Power Pole actually makes a bracket for it. No doubt, two will hold you in place.
My problem is I already have my transducers and aerator pump on my right toon and a swim ladder over the left. No room for the brackets which attach to the deck and the back of a pontoon
That is true. But that is why i was asking if anyone has done it and see how they had it done.
Power Pole also makes brackets that go between the motor and transom. Those should not interfere with any transducers or ladders. When the PP first become popular, that was the common way to mount them.
Save yourself a ton of money and get something like this. spend the money you save on duck hunting stuff.
