That would be a very easy modification to make for the right guy with a drill press etc.

I had thought of making these with roto spinner blades on the tail wire... I made some spinnerbaits with these and they thump hard and would probably look more like a fish tail wagging on this lure.

Thanks for the info. Those blades are crazy looking.
I'm going to make some tail spinners soon... You inspired me to custom make some to my needs.

I should have ordered some Dakota blades... These would look more like a tail fin.

Let me know how they go. I would like some input or see some pictures.
The ball bearing does not work well when bait is hopped. Works great when retrieved strait... I'm still working on them.

They look good. What rig out of the pic works good when it's hopped?
I have not fished them yet, Just tested in my aquarium.. Probably the top right with the swivel that is swinging loose on the back. I'm gonna play with wire length and weights. I have them all neutral balanced. 5/8, 3/4 and 1 oz.

They seem like they would all work great. Let me know how it goes with the other blades.
Hey 21XDC. Like your idea about using that style of hook on this type of bait. Gives you the ability to slowly drag bait on bottom without hanging up so bad. If you choose to do so. Just gives you another option instead of just jigging it up and down or casting and winding. Great idea.
The hook keeps hanging up on the wire and swivel.

mike off subject what if you put a screw loc on the back and put a swimbait on it????
I could... But it would not be any different than a jig head with a double hook.
