    Champion trailer help.

I just purchased a 1993 DCX 190 Elite. Decided to replace the bunks and splash guards on the fenders. I'm using 1/2 treated ply wood and new carpet on the splash guards. My question is about the two tabs, does my ply wood go inside the tabs or outside? Inside will leave about a 1" gap and if I go on the outside I get a gap on both ends. It's on an odd angle, or do I just go outside the tabs and bow the plywood to fill up the gaps on the ends. I should mention that it's a dual axle trailer made of channel iron, not a tube trailer.

Once you get your carpet on it goes inside the tabs and screw the tab to the carpeted wood. I used 2 pieces of 1/2" AZEK instead of plywood. I will have to replace the carpet 100 times before that stuff ever rots. You can get pieces big enough to do the job at Home Depot.
