I reckon this will work if the OP is hooking up his boat at your house.

This is what I do but I'm still getting a wireless camera.

I also have trailers parked on gravel and I put piece of 3/4" plywood under the trailer jack wheel so I can move the boat to the hitch.

It's wireless going from the sender to the monitor. The camera attaches to the licenses plate and has "wedges" on the screws where you can point it down at the angle needed. wiring from the camera goes to the sender. I took the left light out, connected the sender to the backup light wiring and zip tied it out of the way, then reinstalled the light. On the dash, find a convenient place for the monitor and it plugs into the accessory plug with an accessory type plug. Took me a couple of hours, mainly cause I was meticulous as to where/how the monitor was mounted.

If you can find a QuickBite coupler, they work well. I had one on my last boat and loved it. It appears they are no longer manufactured.

You could also use a gopro camera if you use one while fishing, and a sticky mount for the bumper area. Then turn on the wireless and connect to your smart phone. You would have a screen in the cab via smart phone, and a simple to remove camera on the bumper area while you are backing up. Never tried this, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
