    Trailer swaying?

At highway speeds my trailer is swaying with just a little turn of the steering wheel. I have a 10 inch drop hitch on a Suburban, do I need to go to a 12 inch drop? thoughts. Thanks charles.

The trailer should be level when it is hooked up to your Suburban.
You should determine what length is needed to make level.
Also, does the Suburan have a sway bar or oversized tires?

Is the trailer level when hooked to the truck? If single axle, tongue must be level or slightly low like maybe 1" at most.
Should be 5-7% (not to exceed 10%) of the total weight of boat motor and trailer on the hitch.
Make sure both tow vehicle and trailer tires are inflated per manufacturer's specs.

Need more info on your setup. Single axle trailer? Tire pressure at recommended levels? Etc.

Too much weight in the rear or not enough in the front. Trailer out of level too.

Minimal tongue weight is normally the culprit...
