    Guide/lodge recommendations

Anybody got firsthand experience with a good guide?? Here in Louisiana... Looking for a weekend getaway with someone special... Thinking more along the lines of lodge/resort type setup with great dining... Not just a trailer at a boat launch... Thinking southwest la for big specks, or maybe Toledo bend..

Ive never hired a guide, never dealt with one...I'm used to finding my own fish, but with limited time(it's my busy work season) I think it'll be nice.. Bringing my girlfriend....

im looking for recommendations but also tips on what to ask, what to look for, what to expect.... I know how to fish, she can fish pretty well also.. More interested in nice accommodations, great dinner, nice boat, fun attitude...

If I wanted a getaway with a special friend, I wouldn't be going to a fishing camp with a bunch of other hard legs. Go get a bed and breakfast in Natchez. Or go to Lake Charles and stay in one of the casinos and hire a guide for the day.

I rented the oxbow lodge for Tinas birthday on lake bruin. Not usre about guides etc but its a real nice place to stay on lake with pier and boathouse and she really like it. Like Barry not sure fish camp would be where I headed for a special time

If you're going with someone really special, head to Cypress Bend and stay in the motel.

Wildwood is great, but they don't have any dining in the immediate area.

Checkout saltgrass in Buras. Its a very nice place with good food and the fishing is great.
