They are not "out" on the market yet, but should be shipping soon. I'm taking pre orders if anyone is interested.

I'd like to get a new Ulterra or the Terrova but I've been told that the cable from lss1 transducer I'd be putting on the motor is to big to go thru the designated slot-groove that is up near the top housing. has anyone here had dealings with that matter?

I understand Lowrance cables will not go thru the shaft and bracket slot, Hummingbird does. I have a Terrova with HB.

I would definitely buy from JTM but I live down the street from my Minnkota service guy . He said there was a FCC hold on the 36v,
but they will be out soon as JTM says . ( have no idea what a FCC hold is )

Makes sense... MinnKota is owned by Johnson Outdoors...who also is the parent company of Humminbird and Lakemaster....among other outdoor gear related companies.

It's a coincidence that the Humminbird transducer wire goes through the transmission -- it wasn't made that way. When MinnKota started engineering the Terrova, the Ulterra was in mind -- kinda like the old Genesis. The trim and auto stow/deploy is operated by a belt that uses the "slot" to run in. It just happens the slot is wide and deep enough for the Humminbird cable (which is smaller than the Lowrance cable) to go through. On the Ulterra, it's not going to happen cause the belt will be in that slot.

Oh boy either a chance for a new product to hit the market to run that cable or a giant negative in the reviews when it does come out.

Do we know if the motor is quieter than the Terrova? That seems to be the biggest negative that I have read.

If you know someone who dives they will tell you your graphs running in shallow water make twice as much noise as the Terrova underwater.

The remote comes with a belt-loop style lanyard as well as one that goes around your neck if you want to wear it that way. I use the belt loop style, and my remote doesn't leave my body til I'm on the trailer and packing up. Then under the driver's seat it goes.

I also am looking forward to reviews on the Ulterra.
