    CHICOT LAKE

    Has anyone been to Chicot Lake lately? was wondering if I can run my boat there. Also any fishing reports, Thanks

    I know they had lowered the water a few months back but with all this rain probably coming back up....haven't been in a few years........

    Lakes back to normal. Your fine running in the channel. But as always, be careful outside of channel.

    Fished for 3 days on Chicot, only caught 1 knot head. Not going back lol

    My wife caught her biggest bass on Chicot. It was about 25 years ago.

    I use to fish it weekly years ago when they had the contest to catch the 13 lb tagged bass.
    kind of learned the lake and could catch some ok size bass.
    Then I saw a huge gator in blue springs and gave that lake up quick.

    If you live in Thibodaux, Chicot would be the last lake I'd drive to......I bet you have 100 time more places to fish then chicot....

    I'll be making a trip there tomorrow morning before having to head back to work on Tuesday. Its my home lake. Its tough fishing but can usually find a few quaility fish.

    It used to be really good, but I wouldn't waist my time there! there's 10 other lakes in this area I'd rather fish, and the River, which is the best IMO
