Marlin are fun, but tuna offer a good fight and are excellent eating.

Offshore would be mahi and wahoo, nearshore would be cobia and inshore would be trout and reds.

Never done the big salt water fishing thing, but in near shore trips, I really enjoyed catching Bluefish followed by stripers.

you suck; The nearest tuna get to Tampa Bay is 50 to 100 miles and then it's just Blackfin.

My favorite fish is tarpon but sailfish are a close second (none of those near here either).

Favorite saltwater would be surf fishing for Stripers, Blues and Reds. Haven't been surf fishing in years, tho.

Snook followed by snook. After that it's snook with snook bringing up the rear.

A nice by catch, at least in the waters I fish, are juvi tarpon up to usually around 40 pounds.

Also catch a few largemouth in the same waters on the same lures.

Snook, while standing in knee deep water....1/4oz. jig head with a GULP! new penny shrimp. Jacks and Snapper are pretty fun as well, usually with live shrimp or greenbacks. I love the occasional Stingray but they usually get off before I can get them in! I've caught a few Mackerel on Gotcha plugs, they fight pretty decent.
