Lightbulb How to select a jack plate for my boat??

I have a 1989 stratos 201 with a johnson gt 200 which I recently replaced the hydraulic steering on. Now the hydraulic steering hits the back of the boat when I trim up. I was looking into a jack plate to solve this problem but I don't know a lot about them or if there are certain kinds which won't work for an older boat. Any help would be appreciated!
