Question Johnson 175 lifts up while in reverse

I have a 2004 Johnson 175. I have had my sled for 3 years and since I have had it I noticed when I put it in reverse and give it throttle the motor comes up several inches and when I let off the throttle it drops back down. I have noticed other motors do not do this.

Is this normal? If not what is the problem and what do you recommend to fix it.

Try keeping the motor on the trim rams, not in the tilt position.

I've been here, just keeping my mouth shut. I even went fishing last week, first time in a year.

Yep, that's what happens when you get close to the yellow brick road.

Mine does the same on my 225 Evinrude Vindicator. It's normal. All motors do that.

My 200 does the same. But, it only does it while backing off the trailer. I believe it is from having my motor trimmed to high.
