    Raising Jack Plate

I'm going to raise my jack plate. What are the recommendations on how much to go up each move. I was thinking a 1/4 inch at a time. Suggestions?

1/4 at a time seems to be pretty standard. Go up and when you loose performance go down by an 1/8 at a time. Should get you right on.

That's what I did when I raised the SlideMaster on my Sabre FTD. Raised it a 1/4", tested, raised it another 1/4", tested, raised it another 1/4", tested it and experienced more slip then I thought I should, lowered it back down a 1/4" and left it. Runs great.

Watch your water pressure don't go too high. You do have a psi gauge right? If not I wouldn't be messing with it until you know what its doing to your pressure.

Ok, will do. It just seems I have to trim up way too much to get top performance from the boat. Thanks for the help.

    Trim extenders may help you.
