    Tool holder

I am running a 2009 201 Evo and would like to put a tool/pliers holder somewhere. Anybody have one in their boat that could give some advice, brand/location?

The 2015 EVO's have a tool holder on the step next to the console, I've tried to find out if they're available but haven't had any luck yet!!

I would love to have a tool holder that looks nice.

For now I have a pouch mounted to my seat post, but don't always have my post in.

I, like ya'll, was looking for something that would work. Wife found a great little and inexpensive item. I will get a picture of it, can't seem to find one on line
    but bottom line it is
-half round desk top pencil holder
-three open slots in the top for tools
-four 1/2 circle trays that swing open
My first attempt was to use velcro to attach to the boat on any flat surface. Sun and any weight or bounce, the velcro let go (bad idea), remedy: use two screws and permanently mount it.
Now the drawers will sway free out - that wouldn't do, got some velcro 'dots'.....one on the back of each of the four semi-circle trays WORKS!
Lastly - drilled two holes in the bottom of each of the semi circle drawers so as to drain any water that might accumulate! Don't forget the bottom of the three openings for tools as well (drain any water that might accumulate there)
Pencil holder cost - $5 on average (I'll find out where she got them and how much)
Two screws - ?? cost but cheap ( Yeah I know, I hated drilling the two holes to but, they sure don't come down or fall either anymore)
Works great for needle nose pliers/scissors/??
Trays work great for holding weights/swivels/smaller lures/whatever...........
I liked it so much, I put one on the side of the drivers console and one on the passenger side of the side wall of the hull. Any flat surface ALMOST : Make sure they are not going to interfere with any hatch covers opening or closing and not in the way of rod holders/etc.
I will get some pictures....simple idea that works well
Just cost me two screw holes for each in the boat!!
    God Bless

I contacted C&O and Stratos about the tool holder and the new type locks in the lids. The lady I talked to told me they stopped making the 201 XLE in 2010. Technically she was correct, they call it the 201XL now. She couldn't find any info on the tool holder but is going to talk to someone else and calll me back.

Here are the promised pictures. Pencil holder and Velcro dots both purchased at local Walmart.....works for me.
    TH-5.jpg TH-1.jpg TH-3.jpg TH-4.jpg TH-7.jpg
All for less than $10 each...holds needle nose hook remover/scissors/nail clippers/weights/baits almost anything smaller. Just don't forget the velcro dots.....LOL, will swing open on ya and don't waste your time and money thinking you can just Velcro it on...I tried. After a while in the sun, it lets go....even faster if you leave your tools in it. So, I just went ahead and put two screws in each one.
Doesn't move now and pretty handy!

I like that pencil holder idea. Is it big enough to hold needle nose pliers?

Yes and more. Check your local Walmart or similar store ( K-Mart/Target/etc). Have to give my bride credit for this one.

One of the most important thing about tool holders: first that you have one, even more importantly: Where is it located? Needs to be handy BUT out of the way
    Just my 2 cents

I bought one of these from Phil. Very nice holder and you can put it anywhere you want.

Yes, they dont move at all, the holes have rubber gromets so they fit snug, i leave them in there all the time, even during trailering
