You asked for it

Mr. Scrogg asked for a picture of my new to me Heritage Redfish 14. How's this?

7 pounds 2 ounces on Lake Jackson here in Tallahassee this morning. Caught her on a Bitters Naked Swimmer.

Damn what a piggy!! Awesome Job!! I just did a anchor trolley on my Pescador Sunday. Been putting it off. Figure with ice on the water, now is a good of time as any.

I alternated between using the anchor and a stakeout pole. The anchor trolley made positioning in the wind a breeze.

Living in Kansas, wind is something that is just there. Having it is a constant, it's just how hard is it today.

Fishing for Green fish, I'm shallow enough to be using the stake out pole and probably a brush grip. But I also like to chase brown fish, and since those tend to stay a little deeper, I'll be using a "Window Weight" Anchor.

Again, nice looking yak and fish, Olebiker.

One question.... are you wearing a PFD?

Yep. It's an inflatable Sospenders. It's hard to see, but I definitely have it on. She Who Must Be Obeyed makes sure I wear it.

    Here is a better picture:

My next big purchase will be a Stohlquist Angler, I think.

I just got myself a Stohlquist. I FRIGGIN LOVE IT. I used a Gander Mountain Angler PFD, and it would ride up, and hit on the seat back. I tried on the Stohlquist, adjusted the straps, and WOW, it stayed put!! I can't wait to get it out on the water. I got the "Mango" color for the high visability purposes.

Looks like you got a pretty sweet set up there. Carbon Paddle, nice Stake Out Pole, and a great yak. ENJOY!!!

That's not a carbon paddle. It's just an entry level Cannon aluminum one. I will use it until I find that it is handicapping me.
