Angry Anybody ever done something this dumb?

Fishing in a big tourney this past weekend when on the second day I go to bag my five fish limit at the weigh-in and lose one overboard, second biggest fish in my bag too!!! Man you cannot imagine how pissed at myself I was! Never done that before and I hope it never happens again. Lost about 10 places in the overall standings because of that brilliant move on my part. Can't stop playing in my mind what if...yada yada.....

Sorry for your misfortune. In the future bag your fish inside the livewell.

Cant say I have done that but I have saw a couple of guys stepping from the boat to the dock and the bottom of the bag split. All of their fish went back in the lake. At least you kept four of them.

That would be tough to deal with, I always open all my compartments in the back on both sides of the livewell in case I drop one.

I entered the wrong tournament before, but, not sure if that qualifies.

I put my five in a tournament supplied weigh in bag one time and when I picked the bag up the bottom fell out of it. My fish went all over the back deck of my boat. No football player ever did a better job of covering a fumble than I did collecting those five fish before they found their way back to the water. Turns out the bags were a couple of years old and rotten. I almost found out the hard way.

I usually put the boat on the trailer first then bag my fish

The Just Keepers zippered bag is the way to go. I hate bagging fish while on the water. I usually fill up my weigh in bag as I am about to load boat then go to parking lot then get fish out of livewell. Also if I have to use a tourney supplied bag I will often place it inside my own bag and zipper up mine so I do not have an issue till I get to weigh in line.

We do a paper tourney. Couple years ago I was measuring an 18 inch plus on top of rod locker when she flopped right over the side. Cost me the tourney and the championship that year. To this day I always measure my fish on floor of boat. One year at the state tourney I seen a guy slip on the dock and loose 3 out of 5 fish from his bag into the lake. Really felt sorry for that guy

I know a better one, a guy (who is a local guide) was fishing with us this weekend and he got this on his go pro. His partner has a good one crush a frog in a grass mat, gets stuck in the mat, goes in with the trolling motor to get it....nets the wad of grass and the frog comes out with nothing, digs through grass and determines the fish got off, turns net upside down and dumps grass and 4.5lber back in the water!!!!He never saw it until it fell out of the bag. I laughed my ass off when he told me at the weigh in

I'm assuming you were fishing the sc 6 man based on your location? If so I mentioned that same concern about them making us weigh in fish before putting it on the trailer this weekend to my boater.
