I have personally read a couple manuals. They are all safety BS and unless you don't know enough to put your PFD on they will do you no good.
Lights and TM may have been wired at the factory or the dealer, but the rest of the wiring depends on the brand of engine installed. The harness for the engine and all it's controls, including the tach, TT, is brand specific. When I changed from a Johnny 150 to a Johnny 150GT (oil injected) I had to completely rewire my boat. There was no help for me, I just had to figgure it out.
