Will have this boat for a long long time. Be 14 years old and I can't complain one time. From the moment i saw it all shined up on Jet A Marinas checkered board floor, i knew this was going to be a good one. Not the biggest, Not the fastest, but the best boat for me! Like family now. Stays cleaner than my dog. Heck cleaner than my kid...
This is probably the wrong place to ask this, but I'm asking becuase it's obvious lots of folks on this thread care as much about their boats as I do. I recently upgraded to a 2006 Ranger Comanche 520vx. AWESOME boat!, It has a thin line of oxidation almost all the way around the outer edge of the top gel coat. The rest is in pretty good shape. What's the best way/product for me to get this boat restored to as close to new as possible, removing the oxidation and putting a shine on her?
Compound or wet sand depending on how bad it is. Go over to the restoration board with pictures and you will get great advice.
Thanks TOXIC

I'd try using a rubbing compound first depending on the severity of the problem. If no go, move onto wet sanding with 2000 paper as a min. then polishing compound, topped with, what I prefer is an acrylic polish. Not wax.
No affiliation but it's what I use and love, been using it on classic bikes for ages, CRYSTAL-GLO® Polishes Cleaners Protectants boat mags rate it very high.
