    1992 Pro V 202 with 1997 merc promax 225 efi

    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say that I read this forum everyday for information and just to learn more about blazers.

My question is: I have a 92 blazer 202 with a 225 promax with a 20" shaft and wanted to switch to a 16 inch shaft with a bob's 14" Hydraulic jack plate. What's the best advice that you would give me in regards to this setup?

    Thanks again everyone!

Shaft length really doesn't matter with a Hydro plate, unless you are wanting to just drop some weight. Short shaft motors look cool though.

Sort of depends on how you load the boad. If it is heavy loaded, I don't know how mych the short shaft will help you with that 2.5. It should run very good with a short shaft, light load, and an over the hub prop.
