94 904FS with a 93 200XP Vindicator turning a 25p Renegade Bass, NO JACK PLATE smooth as glass (would walk really bad at 55mph with a 4" plate). I get a good hole shot and run 66 - 70 GPS depending on the wind and current. Thats with all the fishing gear, one passenger about 1/2 of fuel (Never had it full at $4 a gallon) maybe this spring ill see if its slower with a full tank :)

With 4 adults and my 4 your old son. It another story :) Hole shot sucks butt and i wont run it hard with my kid in the boat so not sure on the speed. With just 4 adults im thinking 58 at most if i remember right.

96 409FS w/ 98 175 Johnson FastStrike - first boat and i purchased it this past summer... Right now it has just a stock prop (505054) and i only seem to get about 50mph out of the boat. That's not on a GPS and i don't have a lot of faith in the gauges but the gentleman i purchased from said about the same thing; that it'd run around 53mph... my max rpms seem to be around 5300-5400... any thoughts or suggestions on a new prop?? I'd like to get the boat moving a little faster if possible but not the most important thing on the list of "TODO's"... Boat is in excellent condition and i'm hoping to do hydraulic steering, new fuel lines, and new electronics this off season... thanks for any input --

If your wanting to improve the speed of the boat you really need to get some kind of GPS results. the pickup tube on boats just down right sucks and is kinda useless. A simple and FREE GPS APP can be downloaded to most any smart phone. Try the "Speedview" app, its free and works great. then go from their.

I ended up with rkr4 25p power tech from Rob Fink. it pulls my 1996 sf 290 f/s 69-70 gps running 93 oct with 8 in jack plate 2.5 below pad. hole shoot is unreal. running with 2014 250 HO. @ 5500 rpms. thinking about trying the rkr 3 23 p to get the motor closer to the 6000k range. it is a real stiff prop.

OMC motors where inconsistant and turned out some exceptionally hot motors mixed with duds. I onwed one of each on successive Stratos 201 hulls. My 93 200 Xp turned in unbelieveable numbers but my 95 was a dud to the tune of about 10 mph. If I had kept the 95 longer I would have considered a serious tune up.

Had a 92 409t with a 150 fast strike, would run 62-64 mph with a renegade 4 blade 24p- 6” jack plate 4.5” prop to pad. Boat had an original raker 27p on it when I got it and drove like crap - no holeshot, cavitated turning, but would move if you had 5 miles to get it stretched out. Much preferred the 24p 4 blade....
