    yes. northern minnesota - 2 hours from leech, 1 hour from vermilion, 45 minutes from pokegama, 1 hour from pelican. lots of smaller lakes with great fishing 30-45 minutes.

    although, i only get to fish 6-7 months.

    No. I got spoiled living in the south, and the bass fishing in PA doesn't even come close...except for the smallies in Lake Erie

    Love it. 35 minutes from st clair, a little over an hour from erie, and minutes from hundreds of inland lakes.

    For the fishing, yes. North Dakota is a sportsmans paradise. Pretty much every species of gamefish in the state can be found in good numbers just about anywhere you go.

    But if it wasn't for the fishing, I might have shot myself by now.

    I live on annabessacook lake .five minutes from cobbosse five minutes from maranacook, Wilson pond, upper and lower narrows.And the list of lakes doubles if I go ten minutes from the house .central Maine has some of the best bass fishing In the country

    In my dreams, I would like to winter on the "Big O" for about 6 months then maybe 6 months in Michigan or upstate NY. Alabama is in the running and your area is under consideration.
